Tallkrogen

On Monday evening we reached suburban area called Tallkrogen. Construction works in this area started in ‘30s of 20th century. Municipal policy helped workers to build their own homes. 90% costs of investment (materials and prefabricated parts) were paid by municipality, last 10% made workers own work with building assembling. Designed as ring-shaped layout with central square. Mostly single-floor buildings with big garden space in backyard are orderly aligned along curved streets.

Liljeholmen

This is the first Stockholm suburban area outside city limits, however incorporated in to the city in 1913. Since 1950s in this area was existing only metro station. In 70’s has started slow expansion of this city part, but only after 2000 density significantly increased. Over the train station was constructed square (according to Mr. Gunar it is designed in good proportion) under ground stayed bus and car parking but on the top exist tram line. In this area we can see a plenty of good shops. Near square in few levels down exist recreational area with small lake and children ‘fruit’ playground. However it is not connected with square. What is more because of hills also some buildings are isolated.

With respect to educational profile of this trip and beauty of city of Stockholm. What is the most I like in trip, was the time, when we traveled by bus. I like very much to travel by bus and I’ve spend a really good time with you people : ) Thank you Mr. Gunar and Matthew! Thank you very much.
